They're basically unicorns though, almost impossible to find. :(

Well, they never actually exited, so your choices are make one or buy one that someone else made. Great looking trucks, though.

It is great looking but am I the only one with a soft spot for body colored grilles and bumpers on pickups?

Can you even get one from the factory or do you have to build it yourself?

How would you go about making one? Buy the single cab, chassis only version? And then adapt a crew cab short bed to it?

That truck is beautiful 10/10 would drive.
Here are some pics to a build a fella did with a wrecked Harley edition. SC SWB.

Dirt Everyday made a regular cab, short bed F-250 … granted with a very different purpose.

It looks absolutely stunning, except for the chrome grille. I would've used the stock, body colored one. Like in my picture up top

I agree.
I wouldn't have even used a Harley edition personally. I quite like red on bigger trucks. Reminds me of the toy trucks I had as a kid.

Now I want one, too!

My old faithful Chevy has been colormatched for several years now...white grill and bumper with billet grill insert.

Buy a regular cab long bed, pull the bed, hack the frame, likely swap in a short bed gas tank because of size, purchase short bed, and you're done. Except on Ford longbeds, the rear axle usually sits farther to the rear, so there may need to be some relocation of the axle that goes into play too (other than the obvious relocation that comes with taking a foot out of the frame).

Build it yourself.
All the big three 3/4 and 1-ton trucks only with an 8-foot bed in regular cab form. Extended and crew cab can be had with shorter or longer beds. So, you have to buy a regular cab long bed, cut a foot and a half out of the frame and bolt down a short bed.

I always wanted to do this to a Ram 2500 with the Cummins. I would also lower it, slap on the SRT-10 wheels, bumper, and hood, and steal the SRT-6 badges off a SRT-6 Crossfire.
Then, I'd have my own SRT-6 diesel Ram! Ah, what a dream that was.

You're definitely not the only one. I think it really makes a truck look much better than chrome, chrome, and more chrome. Same goes for body colored mirrors and door handles It's much more subtle and gives it a sportier appearance, in my opinion.

Yeah, that's what I figured, why would the factory offer a truck with more capacity in a configuration with less capacity.

Very good way to put it. Personally, I'm okay with trucks in urban areas for the right reasons and I find these fit in far better in the city.
